It seems that this week won’t end. Why is that? Fast as it’s gone, why is this week still here? Aside from being constantly busy, there are things that happened this week that I just want to leave with this week and leave it here forever and ever.

I hate 2 phrases: “It’s always been done this way” and “We can’t do that…” UGH! It seems that’s all I hear these days and I don’t like it. Well, how do you know that you can’t do that if you’ve never tried it? And to be honest, I don’t care how it’s always been done in the past. This isn’t the past, it’s the present and we have to deal with the circumstances now, not then. Yes, there are lessons to be learned from the past, so that the same mistakes are not made again, but that’s all. Wisdom and experience can only go so far, especially if the situation has changed. That’s part of the reason company’s like to hire young people. Because they have new, innovative ideas for change–not because they’ve been doing things a certain way for 30 years…or whatever.

Anyway, just a few thoughts that I’ve had for a while. I just needed to articulate them and what better place to do that, but here! That’s what it’s for, isn’t it?
