A boring night…

Tonight has been pretty uneventful, however, I must say that I’ve been spending my night on MySpace, playing a game called TypeRacer.  My fingers are a bit tired and a little bit swollen as I’ve been pounding away at my keyboard.  I have only been typing, on average, 51 wpm, however, when I was tested a few years back, I typed 75 wpm, with 2% error.  Said that without errors, it was like 71 wpm.  I still like to stay that I can type 75 wpm.  It’s easier to type something that I’ve never seen before than something I have.  I guess that makes me opposite most people.

I can’t read what I’m typing either, because then I’m not concentrating on the typing, I’m concentrating on the words and when you are typing for speed, you don’t want to concentrate on the words.  They can make sense or they don’t–it really doesn’t matter.

So, blah, that’s a boring night for ya!

Today, Rob and I came up with a name for our new puppy.  We’re going to call him Codiak.  I know that that name is “misspelled”, but as soon as I heard the name, I fell in love with it.  We decided that since we had to name him with a “C” name on the “birth certificate”, we had to change it from the normal “K” to a “C”.  I don’t think anyone will mispronounce his name, though.  And, it’s so completely original,  I L.O.V.E. it!!

Yeh!!!!

I got Framed!!!

Yes, I was framed.  I didn’t do it though!

No, just kidding.  Rob and I went and got some of my favorite pictures enlarged and they are getting framed as we speak.  There were a lot of people in the shop today getting their pictures framed, so we’re looking at a 4-6 week wait on getting our pictures back.

These are the photos that are getting done:

So, I’m really excited to get these photos framed and on the walls!!!  🙂

The weather outside is frightful…

It’s only mid-July but it feels like fall.  I’ve watched almost all of my Christmas movies last week and the weather has been dreary.  It’s rained almost everyday for the last two weeks.

I am used to the German weather.  One reason that the Germans don’t have air conditioning in their homes is because it isn’t necessary.  It never really gets warm enough to use it.  As for the fans, we only have one in our bedroom and that’s enough.  I was speaking to our landlord a few months ago and they said that the house is built out of Sandstone, which helps keep the house cool in the summer months, but damned if it won’t be cold in this house in the winter months.  There are heaters in this house, but they don’t work very well.  It never makes the house warm enough, or at least that was my experience when we moved in here in April.  It was still chilly in the mornings and after the sun went down.  In just a few months, our days will be getting noticeably shorter and the sun won’t come out until at 8 in the morning and night will fall before 4pm.

That’s one thing I miss about Colorado.  While the days do get shorter in the winter, it’s not as extreme as it is here.  The days are about the same length year round.

Well, anyway, I’m going to watch Christmas Vacation.  Have a good day!
