Well, we had a break (if you want to call it that) for about 6 weeks with most of the battalion on leave at various times since April. Now, that has ended and everything is getting back to busy again–which includes me. Though, if you asked Rob about it, he’d tell you that there was no break for him whatsoever!
As for me and the animals, we’re doing great. Casey’s fine and Gizmo’s thing seemed to have cleared up as well. One more vet trip for him. The doc wants to MAKE sure he’s okay and I still have to pay for everything. I’m worried it’ll be a lot of money, but I’m sure it’ll be reasonable enough.
Charcoal’s going to join our family soon. I’m so excited! I can’t wait–well, I can do without potty training again, but it might be a little easier here than it was when we were living in the apartment.
This week is already starting to be busy. Tonight, I have to get some info about the Sports Day that the battalion is doing. In October, HHB and B Batteries teamed up and hosted a haunted house and now Service and B Batteries are teaming up to do an obstacle course. I had originally said that we were going to do it and Service battery’s FRG leader said that she had volunteered to do that…I don’t recall her saying it, but we’re going to do it together. It’s just so frustrating. Everyone wants to do what I do. It’s not like I have the best ideas or anything, because I can’t claim that I even came up with the idea to begin with, but still!
Tomorrow is the Coffee Group meeting which should be fun. Lots of adult conversations to be had! 🙂 On Wednesday, it should be low-key for me, but Thursday is a free date-night hosted by the ACS. Italian buffet and a movie. I’m not sure what the movie is, but if it involves film, I’m in! Friday is Sports Day.
Next week’s going to be interesting. We will also get to meet the puppy. 🙂 That should be fun for all. I know that on Thursday the 3rd, there’s a Community Fun Run (3 miles at 9-10 mins/mile) or walk (1.5 miles). I’m going to go. It should be lots of fun. Yes, I’m bringing my camera (my nice one, even!) On the 4th, perhaps we’ll go to Mannheim to the Volksfest that is sponsored by the Mannheim community. It’s always fun to go to! Then, I’m sure on Sat we’ll had to Wurzburg to meet Charcoal.
Rob’s cousin is headed to Germany/Europe sometime next week as well and I know that Rob would like to see him, if only for a couple of hours.
Anyway, I need to get some stuff done around here…no time for idle chit-chat! 😉

Glad to hear the animals are doing better. And I’m getting tired just reading about what’s on your agenda!
Yeah for the critters! Whew~I feel like I am back in school/work with that full agenda!
Yes, you have a very busy week ahead of you!
Good to hear the critters are doing better. Vet bills always shock me!!!! I can’t wait to ‘meet’ Charcoal! I agree though that housebreaking is the pits! But, it is much easier when in a house and not an apartment.
I love all of the ACS activities. On Saturday they are hosting an activity for spouses of deployed soldiers & it is going to be Scrapbooking. I’m a nerd…to say I’m excited is putting it lightly.
I recently took over as the FRG leader for our HHB (Commander is leaving and noone to take over)…so I am trying to come up with some cool ideas for “monthly meetings”…maybe I will have to pick your brain. Sports Day sounds fun! yes, I am copying you 🙂 ~ but I’ll give you credit, at least!
