Friends, the movie?

Well, according to Yahoo Buzz, there’s talk that in th next 18 months they’re going to start filming. They received the green light (supposidly) when SATC turned out to be so popular.

I have no idea whether or not this is true, but what kind of storyline are we talking about…it’s been 4 years since we’ve seen our “Friends”.  Joey’s moved to California, Phoebe married Mike, Chandler and Monica are married with twins and Rachel and Ross are living together with their daughter.

The only thing I could see happening is a wedding and I think that’s tired.  What could they possibly do!?  I really don’t know.

Diet Day 5

Diet today did not go well.  We went out for meals for both lunch and dinner.  I don’t even wanna know how many calories I consumed.

One thing that we DID do today was visit our puppy.  We haven’t decided what to name him.  We got a chance to see him and now we have ABSOLUTELY no idea what to name him.  We have a couple of names in mind, but since we’re paying extra for the pedigree, we think we’re probably going to show him.  His stud fees would be higher if he’s a show dog that wins.  According to the breeder, several of the pups have grown to to be excellent show dogs.

Here’s a picture of him.  The name on the registration has to start with a “C”.  We were thinking that we should have a pretentious name on the papers and have a call name for him.  If you have any ideas, we’d be happy to take your suggestions!

He’s definitely belongs to our family, though!  As soon as we walked into the room, he woke up and the one where’s he’s having a snack–funny story:  Momma dog told him, “No!” Twice.  I was kneeling down petting one of the other puppies and he was a bit sneaky–he went underneath my feet to get to his momma.  She finally gave in to him and let him eat for a few seconds.  Sweet, sweet puppies!  We signed the contract for the little guy and gave Martina some money for the down payment.  It’s possible that he’ll be able to come home with us on the 8th.  Rob’s got a half day of work that day!  Woohoo!  I’m so excited!!  Now, if I could just figure out a name for him, I’d be set!!

Alright, I have to go for now.  I have to get Rob packed for the field.

Have a great day and enjoy the rest of your long weekend!

Diet Day 4

I just want to assure you all that I am NOT starving myself.

Happy 4th of July, by the way!

So exercise for today included:
Walking from Burger King to the movie theater to the PX back to the car.  The car was parked 1/2 mile away from the PX.  After arriving home, I used the weed eater to cut the grass (no easy task!)  We also went to the fireworks display on RamsteinAir Force base.  We stood in line for dinner for well over an hour.  They were sold out of food.  We didn’t get a chance to eat.  We watched the fireworks and walked back to the car with the dog.  We walked at least 2 miles from the hangar to where the car was parked.

The reason that I didn’t eat a snack or dinner due to the medications.  I do not feel very hungry.  Plus, I probably EXCEEDED my calories for the day in these two meals alone!

What makes me so darned mad!!!

I was in the ER yesterday because I fell down the stairs.  Do you know what the first question the doctor asked me was after he asked me what happened?  “Were you pushed?”  I mean what kind of FUCKED up question is that?  He implied that my husband was BEATING me!

Don’t get me wrong, my husband DOES beat me–but only at the Game of Life ®.  No, we hardly ever fight and when we do, it’s pretty mellow fights–we don’t even yell at each other!  I’ve never lived like this before.  It feels NORMAL!

Anyway, I digress.  It really bothers me that they would ever imply that my husband would ever hit or hurt me.  The next question they asked me was if I had anything to drink.  I fell down the stairs at 2 in the afternoon.  Who drinks at that hour?!  I don’t!  When I drink, which isn’t all that often, I don’t usually start until after 6–and even then, I don’t drink all that much!

oh, well…so much for my rants!

Diet Day 2

Today, since I was in the ER for a while, I didn’t get a chance to exercise, but here’s today’s summary.

Breakfast:
2 microwave soft pretzels with American Cheese
Calories consumed:  410

Lunch:
Didn’t eat

Snack:
Doritos Buffalo and Ranch and a small bowl of ice cream
Calories Consumed:  440

Dinner:
Weight Watchers Calzone
Calories Consumed: 290

Total Calories Consumed: 1140

I guess I was making up for not eating enough calories yesterday.  Oh well!

The Klutz is at it again!

Well, after 6 hours at the ER, I’m doing okay.

I fell down my stairs, banged up my hip and hurt my elbow.  I had to have 2 staples put in my right elbow.  It hurt like hell because the anesthetic didn’t take.

I’ve had 2 percocet and some other drug to help with the pain.  I can barely sit and I can’t bend my elbow.  It was everything I could do just to bend it enough for the xrays.

I’m loopy right now.  There’s no story to how I fell, not really anyway.  It’s been a bad week!  Ugh!

Okay, I’m gonna get going now.

Bad Dog

Today, I was taking out my recyclables out to the trash can and Casey got out shortly before Rob called to tell me he was on his way home.  As soon as Rob called me, I went to go take Casey out for a potty and he’s nowhere to be found!

So, I called Rob back and told him that we had a problem.  Casey had gotten out of the house.  I walked up and down the two main streets (not wide enough for two-way traffic but busy enough that the road should be wider with speed limits of 30 km/hr [18 mph]) for 30 minutes looking for him, asking the neighbors that were outside if they had seen my dog.  I called him to me, fearing the worst.  I walked down to the two major streets (much more traffic than the main streets and are clearly marked two-way traffic roads with a speed limit of 50 km/hr [31mph]) and called for him.  I didn’t see him or his dead body laying in the road.  So, I quickly walked back to the house.  Rob had just gotten home and he was in the car looking for his beret so that he could help me look.

We both walked down the same path that I had just walked and we couldn’t find him.  I bawled the entire way home shouting, “I’m so stupid.  How could I let this happen?”  Rob doesn’t know what to say, so he just put his hand on my back and rubbed it.  We were almost home and Rob says, “Somebody probably just picked him up.  They’re not going to keep him, but they are keeping him safe.”

The words were a little comforting, but still, I was worried about my dog.  As soon as we walked up our street, Rob hears Casey barking.  He shushes me.  We walked slightly faster up the steep hill to our house and there we see some neighbors from up the road that had seen Casey.  He walked into their house!!!  Apparently, they knew who’s dog it was and they put him back in our yard.  My face was tear-stained and all I could do was just hug the woman for bringing my dog back.  I offered her a Coke or something to drink and she politely declined.  I thanked them many times over.  The neighbors to our right were out and said something in German that I didn’t quite understand.  I couldn’t think of the words for “Bad dog” in German, but I said, “Big trouble” and pointed at Casey.  They laughed.  They could see that I was relieved.

Bad Dog!

Children Learn What They Live

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.

If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.

If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.

If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.

If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.

If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.

If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.

If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.

If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.

If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.

If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.

If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.

If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.

If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.

If children live with fairness, they learn justice.

If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.

If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.

If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
